Polywater Prelube 2000 P-640 lubricant is developed for pre-lubricating ducts during fiber optic cable blowing, helping to reduce friction resistance and increase the distance the cable can be installed in a single run.

Unlike traditional cable pulling lubricants, Prelube 2000 is optimized for air-assisted installations, where the cable is blown into the duct using specialized equipment. Its concentrated formula works with a very thin coating inside the duct, reducing drag and promoting faster, longer-reach installations.

Once applied, the lubricant leaves a thin, slippery film that retains its lubricity even after drying, which helps maintain the duct's performance for months after application.

The Polywater P-640 can also be used to blow empty microducts intended for future microcable installations; for blowing microcables as such, Polywater recommends Prelube 5000.
